Pattison’s Patisserie
Someone’s birthday at work is always an anticipated day as everyone else in the office gets to celebrate with them by eating cake. However, this can become a problem when you are coeliac. Fear not, if you or your work mates don’t want to attempt to cook a gluten free cake, Pattison’s Patisserie can come to the rescue!Pattison’s has a range of savory and sweet gluten free items, among many other amazing looking glutenous ones. For my birthday this year, work ordered a Fleur de Lys cake, a traditional French styled chocolate mousse cake set on an almond and hazelnut baked meringue base with a light dusting of cocoa powder and decorated with hand dipped chocolate flowers. Well, just so you know, it takes just as good as it sounds! However it is very rich so you only need a little bit, which is probably good considering they are $26.50 for a small.Pattison’s also have gluten free friands, florentines and quiches (among other things). I have had better florentines (Zandria Cafe have very nice white and dark chocolate florentines) and the friands are good, however like any other good friand, but I would recommend the quiches, especially the quiche lorraine.Pattison’s are located in Chatswood (Chatswood Chase and Westfield Chatswood), Ryde, St Ives, Hornsby, Mosman and Cammeray (exact locations here).Have you tried anything from Pattison’s? If so what is your favourite?Fleur de Lys gluten free cake
