Springhill Farm – the real bread mix

Gluten free bread will always be a problem and I have accepted that. However there are a few companies around that have come up with a pretty good gluten free bread formula. I hadn’t heard much about Springhill Farm‘s bread however since I had a packet in the cupboard which I received at a Coeliac Society event I decided to try it. As you have probably gathered I don’t really like making something straight from the packet without adding something or changing it a little. I had decided I wanted to make this bread with some seeds and found that Lucky Nuts produce a natural seed mix with pine nuts so decided to give this a try.Crossing my fingers I added the entire 200g packet to the mixture. After the rising stage I knew this was going to be a good loaf of bread, since this loaf actually rose unlike another one I made not so long ago.

The rising bread The rising breadI think the photo of my bread speaks for itself…

Like most gluten free breads this one is best straight out of the oven, however I froze the leftover bread and it was also delicious toasted with my soup for lunch. To make this bread all you need to do is follow the instructions on the packet adding in 200g of Lucky Nuts’ natural seed mix with pine nuts at the kneading stage.Have you given up on gluten free bread?
