Cafecito, Cuban food in Chicago

Last year when my Canadian visa expired I still wanted to Travel the Country so I had to leave and re-enter as a tourist. I therefore flew from Calgary to Chicago and then got (a very long) Greyhound to Toronto. I decided to stay at the YHA (Hosteling International) in Chicago and whilst it wasn’t the best Hostel it had an amazing Cuban Restaurant next door. The chef was knowledge able on Gluten free options and whilst the menu is Mostly Sandwiches, they do have a Couple of Salads including the Salad of the day. I Decided on the salad of the day which was contained prawn, avocado, red onion, tomato and baby spinach. Gluten free Cuban salad from Cafecito The salad was Absolutely delicious – fresh and full of flavor. Because I was traveling the US and Canada for Six weeks I was living on a Budget and I was so happy that I could eat good quality food for a very decent price (I believe the salad was about $6).I highly Recommend you Check them out if you head to Chicago! http://www.cafecitochicago.com/
