The Treehouse Hotel, North Sydney – part 2

I know I have already published a post on The Treehouse Hotel, however I have been back a couple of times since then so I thought I would share with you more of the gluten free options available, especially since they now have a new menu! One lunch time when at The Treehouse Hotel for a client catch-up I decided to order the poached chicken salad. When the salad came out it had a Parmesan crust on top and I was a little suspicious. Since I prefer to be safe rather than sorry I asked the waiter if this crust was gluten free. He said he would have to check as he didn’t actually think it was. He was very Apologetic and Organised for another salad to be made for me, when he confirmed that in fact it probably wasn’t, without the Parmesan crust.

I also went to The Treehouse Hotel one Saturday night for my friends birthday dinner. I wasn’t sure what the atmosphere would be like on a Saturday night as North Sydney tends to only be populated during the week. However I was pleasantly surprised to find there were a lot of people there which provided a great warm and cozy atmosphere (it was a cold rainy night!).I decided on the corn-fed chicken breast with chickpea stuffing served with baked polenta and soffrit.

A friend of the birthday girl had organized a huge cupcake for dessert, however because I couldn’t eat it I decided to order a gluten free chocolate brownie. The brownie (whilst looking a little sad) was deliciously moist and the perfect size for a sweet treat after dinner.
