Sugar Lounge, Manly Beach

This was another daily deal site purchase – a voucher for a meal at Sugar Lounge at Manly Beach. A couple of friends and I headed down one sunny Sydney day to indulge in some fancy food and drink (well fancier than most of my dining out choices).First things first – cocktails! I went for the Sangria Royale which is a sangria of white wine, lychee nectar, passion fruit & mint. It was delicious and refreshing – perfect for the day.Sangria RoyaleWith the voucher we got 1 entree to share, 1 main each and a dessert platter to share. For the entree we went for the crisp pork belly bites with jalapeno apple puree. Let’s just say that we were almost licking the plate at the end!Crisp pork belly bitesThen it was time for mains. I had a little trouble deciding what I wanted but I decided to go for the meatballs in sauce with a side of potato (there was some fancy name for this but it is no longer a main option so not sure what it was called!). Once again the main was delicious. My main dishThen it was time for dessert – we chose the dessert platter which had ice cream on it that I could eat. It was a nice light way to finish of the meal. Our dessert platterThere is some outside seating so if it is a nice day (and you can get a seat) I would suggest sitting outside. Inside is a bit dark but the decor is funky. The outdoor seating Some of the funky decorThe bar areaA painted speaker One of the lightsYou can check out Sugar Lounge at 42 N Steyne, Manly or find out more information on their website.
