Win a bag of Matcha tea from Zen Green Tea
I have to say I go through my stages with green tea. There are times when I drink it quite often and then I usually go off it again. One of the things that puts me off is that if you don’t brew it for the exact right amount of time it can taste really bitter and just gross. So I was rather intrigued when Erin from Zen Green Tea contacted me about their Matcha tea. Match tea is a rare green tea powder which apparently dissolves to form the smoothest green tea. Erin and co from Zen Green Tea, like me, were tired of the bitterness of the standard green tea bag and therefore began their search for a better option. This is when they came across Matcha tea. They found that Matcha was used by the Zen monks during their long meditative stints as the tea allowed them to access profound levels of calmness and meditation. They also found that the Chinese and Japanese royalty utilized Matcha to achieve optimal health and prevent aging and disease.Desperate to try this product and not being able to find it in Australia they sourced Matcha from a number of different overseas sources and what they found was a tea that was strong but not bitter. After drinking the tea they felt gradually energized and awake but unlike coffee we were not “jittery” but calm and concentrated. They therefore started importing and selling Matcha tea wanting to share it with the rest of Australia.Unfortunately as you know I am not in Australia at the moment so I cannot test this green tea and that is why I want you to try it for me! One lucky ready will win a 60g bag of Matcha tea worth $24.95. All you have to do is tell me in 25 words or less why standard green tea just doesn’t make the cut. The winner will also be required to let me know what they think about the green tea so that I can blog about it (even better you can write a blog post for me!). The competition ends at midnight AEST on on the 12th June, 2012 and is open to Australian residents only. Make sure you leave your email address (where not visible to other commenters) so I can contact you if you win!To find out more about Match tea from Zen Green Tea check out their website here.Matcha tea
