Baja Cantina, Glebe – gluten free friendly

I absolutely love Mexican food. The great thing about Mexican is that they often use corn tortilla’s and if not they usually at least have them as an option. So it is not surprising that after the first visit to Baja Cantina in Glebe, where they give you the option of corn or flour tortilla’s, I fell in love. The problem is that in the (many) times that I have been back since my first visit, all but once I have stuck to what I ordered the first time, the steak Fajitas. But let’s take a step back for a moment. Everything about Baja Cantina is fun, from the brightly Colored walls and table cloths to the (very) large menu’s and jugs of Sangria. I Suggest you Either share these or go when you are very hungry, as you get: Steak, Capsicum and Onions…Corn (or flour if you choose) tortilla’s, salsa and guacamole…AND a plate of seasoned rice, black beans, Cheese, sour Cream, lettuce and tomato…I have to say last time I went to Baja Cantina the steak was a bit chewy but I am still a huge fan of this dish. Steak Fajitas However in saying that I think I have found a new Favorite dish. I was very lucky that last time I went to Baja Cantina my friend was happy to eat Gluten free for a night and we therefore shared two dishes, the steak Fajitas and the Nachos. The nachos were piled with cheese, salsa, jalapenos, guacamole and sour cream, were delicious! So much so that if I go back to Baja Cantina this is what I will order! Nachos When living in Canada I missed real nachos – in Canada nachos consist of corn Chips, Cheese and jalapenos. You can pay extra to add mince but it’s just not the same! They also come in Really Really large Servings and if you have no self control (like me) you end up feeling very ill after. What one ingredient do you have to have on your nachos?
