abokado, London

We were having a discussion at work a couple of weeks ago about how it’s very hard to find good sushi that doesn’t cost you an arm and leg in London. Then out of chance I stumbled across abokado the other day. I was looking for a small (cheap) snack to last me until I got home from my morning of sightseeing and so thought I’d go in and check the place out.Well imagine my surprise when I realised that items that were gluten free were labelled with ‘gf’ and at least 50% of the products were labelled so! Even better were the prices, Shwrap’s (basically a sushi roll) were £1.49-£1.68 and you could get a meal (e.g. rice paper rolls with edamame salad) for about £5. The only place I have seen similar prices with decent sushi in London so far is at Wasabi (and they don’t label their food as gf or not).Shwrap – I believe the flavour I got was sliced duck with bean shootsWhilst it wasn’t as good as getting fresh sushi it definitely satisfied me and at those prices I will be back.abokado – various stores across Londonhttp://abokado.com/
