Eagle’s Eye Restaurant, Kicking Horse, BC, Canada
The first time I went to Kicking Horse we walked into Eagle’s Eye Restaurant and pretty much walked straight back out. You see working in the ski industry in Banff doesn’t pay too well and Eagle’s Eye looked like an expensive fine dining Restaurant. We ended up eating at White tooth Grill at the bottom of the gondola where the chef prepared me a Gluten free chicken salad. The second time we went to Kicking Horse it was a special occasion, our last team outing before our Manager left, so we decided we would splurge and eat in Eagle’s Eye restaurant. Eagle’s Eye has a great feel to it and it also has a pretty amazing view (which would have been even better if it wasn’t such a white out). You Almost feel with a fish out of water when you sit down in your ski gear with the well Dressed waiters and nicely set tables. I was doubtful that they would have Gluten free bread but one of the girls said I should ask anyway. The options that I thought I may be able to have on the menu (including the soup, and the meat patty from the burger) Actually turned out to be Glutenous but I was happy to hear that they had Gluten free bread and could make me a Gluten free version of the chicken club. The chicken Club included Chicken, bacon, brie, guacamole, red onion and tomato and it was delicious. The wedges were also very nice. The best thing about it was it only cost $14 and there was no extra charge for the Gluten free bread. Gluten free Chicken club I was Lucky enough to get the last two pieces of Gluten free bread that day so a suggestion would be to ring up and warn them you are coming so you can make sure they have some on hand. This Restaurant is a great lunch spot during a day skiing at Kicking Horse.
